Introduction

Psalm 19 tells us that "The heavens are telling the glory of God; the firmament proclaims His handiwork."

At The Ruggles Church, we want to also tell of His glory. We are a Bible believing and studying assembly of people. We are not afraid of the word "inerrancy" when speaking about God's Word and we hold that God's Word is truly inerrant in the original autographs. Truly it is sweeter than honey in the honey comb, it is worth more than billions of dollars, it is pure, and so able to revive us. It is straight and true, as is the Living Word, Jesus Christ.

The Ruggles Church was incorporated in 1969 as a community church serving the religious needs of the Ruggles people. It was formerly known as the Federated Church, being the union of the Congregational and Methodist churches under the leadership of Reverend W. P. Michel in 1926. The Congregational Church was formed January 11, 1827; the present building erected in 1854. the Methodist Church was organized in 1839; the church built in 1870. Services are now in the Congregational building. The old Methodist building now is the Township Hall.

We gather on Sunday mornings, to worship God as our Lord and Savior, in a small country church located by the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 224 and Rt. 60. We would love to have you join us at any time and welcome the opportunity to meet you.

We gather on Wednesday evenings at 5:30 to study God's Word.

We believe

In God the Father, Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord.

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried.

On the third day, He rose again from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, Almighty.

From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,

The holy catholic church, the communion of  saints, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting.

(The Apostles Creed)

This is our statement of faith.
